Two: Transportation
As the hub of East China there are three
expressways and five railways pass through
Wuhu. And there is the last deepwater
port here goes against the Yangtze River.
Transportation is very convenient.
Expressway: Expressway connects Wuhu with
Hefei and Xuzhou to the north, Nanjing
and Shanghai to the east and Hangzhou
and Ningbo to the southeast. High-grade
road along the Yangtze River connects
Wuhu with Nanchang and Wuhan to the west.
Railway: Five railways pass through Wuhu
and connect Jingguang railway line and
Jingjiu railway line to the west, Jinghu
railway line to the east, Longhai railway
line to the north, Zhegan railway line
to the south. Passengers and cargoes are
easily dispatched from Wuhu to Beijing,
Shanghai, Hangzhou, Wenzhou, Fuzhou, Xiamen,
Xian, and Nanchang directly by railways.
Port: Wuhu port is the last fine deepwater
port here going against the Yangtze River
with capacity of tens of thousands tons.
Business of combined transportation cooperated
with more than 40 countries has been started
up here.
Airport: It takes 80 minutes from Wuhu
to Nanjing Lukou International Airport
and to Hefei Luogang Airport, and takes
4 hours to Shanghai Airport by car. |
